Innsbruck

Next came a visit to Innsbruck, where I immediately went to the American Express office and received a letter from my mother. In it, she explained that there had been a mail strike in Montreal and apologized for the lack of communication from her. Obviously, Kathy had the same frustrating experience communicating with me. This small city is surrounded by mountains and offers scenic views from almost every vantage point. I decided to go to the "Top of Innsbruck" which is referred to as Hafenelekarspitze. The scenery was really incredible and something I had never experienced before The historic section of the city features richly decorated merchant-town houses that reflect the region's trade and craft traditions. The guilds determined the colour of the houses.
